Bob Pettit has been a practicing ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist for 35 years. He is board certified. He holds degrees from UC San Francisco, Stanford University, and UCI Medical School. Bob has spent years at UCSF teaching auditory theory and diagnosing vertigo. He was part of the original cochlear implant team during his residency training, contributing to the discovery that individuals with complete deafness may be cured through electrical stimulation of the inner ear. He still practices bedside manners from a bygone era, getting to know each of his patients as individuals and taking the time to comprehend their unique experience and perspective, even while he embraces the technological advancements that have altered his specialty.
